As the new owners of Purple Glaze Donuts, etc., our mission is to ensure that your day is sweeter one donut at a time. We can’t tell you who we are and how we got here without starting with Purple Glaze’s amazing founder, Jacki Sharpe. After many years sharing her decadent desserts and treats with family and friends, she pursued her passion and became a pastry chef. At the urging of her son, Wesley, a self-taught baker, they teamed up to create Purple Glaze Donuts, etc. Opening in May 2015, a true “neighborhood” destination spot in Asbury Park was born where locals and visitors drop by for donuts and coffee. The success and following they achieved has gained national recognition.
As raving fans and donut lovers, we purchased Purple Glaze Donuts, etc. upon finding out Jacki and her partner Dom were retiring. Jacki’s passion and creative flair will carry on as her protégé Lisa creates and veterans Liz and Didda will support her. They will continue to create the mouthwatering donuts you’ve come to expect. Joining this amazing team is Mary Maltby Flynn, Liv McDonough, Rich Silva, and Kevin McDonough. Stop in and say hi, we’d love to meet you!
Inspired by the love of all things sinfully delicious and the dynamic Asbury Park community, Purple Glaze’s hand-crafted donuts appeal to everyone – youngsters, oldsters, hipsters, and funsters. Using fresh daily made donuts as a canvas (slightly crisp on the outside & fluffy on the inside), we use bold and distinctive flavor combinations along with unique toppings, decorations, and presentation. Eating is believing!
Purple Glaze proudly supports our neighborhood community through donations, fundraisers at the shop, and as employer. We also partner with local businesses – serving Asbury Park Roastery coffee, selling Holly Jolly Jams, From the Garden honey, and much more.
